What is consciousness? Is it Something or Nothing? How does one determine this? By what means? Does the factor that only one is determining make it one way or the other for only one or many?

Does a person ever really "know" another person? For that matter, does a person ever really "know" anything? What determines this? How much or how little? How is the measurement determined?
